Cancellation and early-start information.
For KC Repairs mobile customers.
When this may apply
KC Repairs often visits customers at a home, workplace or another agreed location. Depending on how and when the agreement is made, consumer cancellation rights may apply. Kyle will give you the relevant information before a contract is made or before work starts.
The usual cancellation period
For many consumer service contracts made at a distance or away from business premises, you may have 14 days to cancel. The position can differ where goods or parts are supplied, for emergency repair work you specifically requested, or under another legal exception. Your statutory rights are not affected.
If you want work to start sooner
If you ask KC Repairs to start applicable work within the cancellation period, Kyle will ask you to confirm that request in writing—for example by replying to a text or WhatsApp message. If you then cancel after work has begun, you may have to pay a reasonable amount for work and parts already supplied. Once a service has been fully performed, you may lose the right to cancel only where you expressly agreed to the early start and acknowledged this consequence.
How to cancel
Call 07541 455392 as soon as possible and make a clear statement that you want to cancel. Kyle recommends also sending a text or WhatsApp message so there is a written record. You do not have to use a particular form, but you can use the information below.
Cancellation wording
“I, [name], give notice that I cancel the service contract for [describe the work] agreed on [date].”
Written approval template
Before starting chargeable work early, KC Repairs should send and retain the completed written approval template. Download the customer work authorisation template.
